Mike Garrison '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'7" 230 lbs. tightend/defensive end from Stow, OH. I have played varsity football for two years. This season I made the move from offensive tackle to tightend. I was invited to the Summit County All Star game on Thanksgiving Day in Akron. I was part of my schools student council, I have a 3.8 GPA and a 25 ACT score. I am looking to play college football at a high level. I have not been recruited heavily because it was not before just this last spring that my body really started to mature and catch up to itself. I am currently 6'7" 230 lbs and am getting stronger and more athletic everyday. I play tightend and defensive end. This was my first season at tightend. We were more of a run based team, but I was thrown to 14 times and I had 13 receptions for 220 yards and 2 touchdowns. As far as commitment and hard work, you have nothing to worry about from me. I work out for an hour and a half 4 days a week on my own before football practice. I have never worked so hard in life. I have always dreamed of playing big time college football. I believe I have the ability and drive to make an immediate impact on any team I play for. I'm a good leader and many of my teamates feed off me whenever I'm out on the field or in the weight room. I do not have a preference geographically of where I'd like to play football, I just want to play. And I am still undecided on my major, however i am interested in the sports training, law enforcement, and landscaping fields. I believe that I could fit in and help out any team, no matter what level.
