Kyler Smith '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kyler Smith. I live in Merlin, Oregon and have played for North Valley High School for 4 years. I am a very enthusiastic person. I Have been voted most inspiring player. I love the game of football.  I am a true competitor.  I strive to win, and give every ounce of my energy to ensure my team a victory. I was nominated as team captain this year, and am a 5 time "Mr. Hustle" award winner.  As a three sport athlete, my competitive nature spreads to each sport.  We have a tradition of winning.  41 straight victories at one point.  I have strong desire for self improvement, and a thirst for knowledge.  I am 5'5 170 pounds and use every bit of it to my advantage. One thing people and coaches and other teammates always compliment me on is my "heart". They say I have a desire and passion for the game like they haven't seen before. Although I am not the biggest player on my team, I hit harder than most.  I love to run the ball, and I love to have the game on my shoulders. I run a 4.7 40. Every season I am an offensive and defensive captain. I am the player that all of my teammates feed off of, and look to for direction. I have a nose for the football, great knowledge of the game, and outstanding field vision.  If I am offered an opportunity to play football at the college level, I will gladly accept, just to keep playing the game.  If given the option I would like to stay close to home, but would play anywhere just to stay involved in the game.  After my playing years are over, I plan to coach.  I hope to gain the education to help me to stay involved in football, and share my love of the game with others.
