Personal Statement

I am a 6'2" 230lb linebacker from Keizer, Oregon.  I have been a starter on the McNary High School varsity football team for two seasons and earned all-conference and academic all-conference team honors at linebacker for both seasons, as well as, tight end for the 2019 season.

In two seasons, I have amassed 185 tackles (102 solo-84 assists), 14 sacks and 26 tackles for a loss on defense, as well as, 22 tackles on special teams.  In the spring, I compete on McNary's varsity track & field team in the 100 meter, 200 meter and 4x100 meter events, I also compete in the shot-put and javelin.  I earned varsity letters both my freshman and sophomore seasons by scoring points in every meet, qualifying for the MVC district meet in four events and being honored on the academic all-conference team in 2018 & 2019.

I was accepted into the National Honor Society in April of 2019 and I am set to graduate in 2021 with a 4.18 weighted GPA while completing several Honors and Advanced Placement courses.

I am hardworking, tenacious and lead by example on the field, in the weight room and in the classroom.   My coaches have praised my coachability, my work ethic and my passion for learning through extra reps, film study and off-season workouts.  Ultimately, my goal is to become a successful college student athlete who performs at the highest level.

I am interested in universities that will allow me to push myself both on the field and in the class room.  I would like to study a pre-law major such as psychology or philosophy as my undergraduate degree.  Ideally, I would like to find a program that allows me to make an immediate impact on my team.
