During my first year of football, after my second week of conditioning; I almost put down my helmet and shoulder pads forever. But I couldn't do it, I couldn't think about letting my team down. Now, I'm competing in arguably the best league in Oregon and trying to prove that I can compete with the best of the best. During my Sophomore season I was the first sophomore to be brought up to varsity, it was during Spring ball. I had high hopes for the season. Then the jamboree came around; I was scared, not of the competition, but of failing. That season I played as a backup and started on special teams. I learned that nothing is given, you have to earn everything. Over the course of the season I started to realize that even though I wasn't getting the playing time I wanted, I was turning into the leader the coaches needed for the upcoming seasons.
During high school, I don't just want to be known as the guy on the football or baseball team. I want to be known as the person you'd go to, to get help with homework, the guy with an amazing GPA, someone who can
