My goal is to further my education and athletic career in baseball at a college that fits both my personality and future goals. I'm a disciplined student-athlete and pride myself on my work ethic and coachability. I have been playing and loving this game since T-ball at the age of 6.
I've been playing sports since I was 6 years old and have been playing baseball as long as I can remember. I was fortunate enough to have coaches early on in my baseball career who loved the sport and shared their passion of game with me. The more I played the more I fell in love with the game and wanted to study the finer points of strategy.
In addition to my youth coaches, my parents have influenced me tremendously. Both of them were athletes themselves and have instilled in me much of what they learned along the way in their athletic careers, especially coachability and work ethic both in the classroom and on the field.
One thing I've learned about myself through playing baseball is that I have a strong desire to compete at the highest level possible and that baseball is a sport where off season and daily preparation is just as important as in season, on the field practice. I continue to work in the off-season with a pitching coach and constantly push myself to better my game.
Being a multi-sport athlete in Baseball has given me many diverse opportunities to better myself as a well-rounded student-athlete. My baseball team at Lehman went all the way to the state semifinals three years in a row. Losing one game before the pinnacle drove me to work harder. I've learned the value of teamwork, commitment and leadership.
I'm always trying to be better - as a person, friend, and athlete. It's these efforts away from the field that I feel make me standout against my peers.
