Personal Statement
As a kid, I've always had a passion for football. I started playing tackle football during my freshman year of high school. You could say that I am a "late bloomer". I was 6'1" and weighed 130 pounds at the start of that year. I have steadily grown in size and muscle. I have also improved my starting position on the team, being named a team captain 7 out of 10 games in my Junior year. I have learned that having focus, determination, and commitment to excellence has helped me to achieve my goals. My next goal is to get an athletic/academic scholarship to a college where I can also get an excellent education in pre-med or engineering.
Homeschooling has been a great experience for me, and my Christian faith has set a strong foundation. Integrity, honesty, and character are important for me and where I decide to go to college. I have participated in Royal Rangers for the past 12 years and have earned my Gold Medal of Achievement(Equivalent to the Eagle Scout award). I believe that because of my work-ethic, academic performance, and team leadership abilities I would be a great addition to your team.
