Deremy Stubbs '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Deremy Stubbs. I have 5 brothers and a sister and I'm a twin of Dillon Stubbs. I enjoy the weightroom and love to compete, not just at football but in the classroom or any activity. I think my biggest strengths are that I bring energy to the field that my teammates can feed off of. I love to play with intensity and emotion and love to celebrate with my teammates when we all make big plays. My coaches always tell me that I have great character. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 my senior year of Fall high school football was cancelled and moved to the Spring. That season was cut short due to COVID-19 and only 5 games were played. Even with the short season my brother and I helped lead our team to the State Championship at the end of the Spring Season. Even though I had some attention from FCS schools I felt that not all of my talents were put on display. Attending classes online did not fit my learning style so my grades started to decline as well. I decided it would be best for me to attend a Junior College and committed to Butte College in Oroville, CA so I could further develop my talents on the field and in the classroom. While at Butte my GPA has improved to a 3.35 which allows me to graduate with an Associates degree this December 2023. As our 2023 season comes to a close, I am looking for a 4 year institution to attend so I can continue to further my academic and football career at the highest level.
