Personal Statement
I would first like to thank you for visiting my profile. I started playing softball at the age of 8. At that age it was just for fun and to see if I would like it. A year later I decided to try out other extra curriculum activities. After 4 years, I decided to go back to softball playing mostly third and first base. It wasn't until the age of 14 that I had thought of becoming a pitcher. I would always wake up early and practice throwing against the shed or to my father. I knew that it would take dedication and hard work and that I would definitely be going up against girls with many years under their belt. At no time did I let that discourage me, in fact I used it to push harder and get better over time. At that moment I told my parents that THIS is what I love and what I wanted to do. I began taking pitching lessons to work on my velocity, stamina and posture. Freshman year I was able to pitch 3 varsity games and I felt so accomplished. The point where I felt like I was most recognized was at the Jenny Fitch Tournament April 2018. We had 3 injured pitchers so they turned to me. I ended up pitching 3 games and bringing our team to the semi finals. Needless to say I am a hardworking individual who never gives up and always stays positive. I work extremely hard on the off season and put in a lot of extra work with my father. My goal is to continue playing throughout college while studying hard and open my own softball facility.
