Dillon Stubbs '24 Recruiting Profile

I come from a big family. I am 1 of 7 children and have a twin brother named Deremy who also happens to be my teammate. During my senior year of high school my fall football season was cancelled and moved to the Spring of 2021 which only lasted about 5 games. I was able to help my team make it to the championship that year by scoring two TDs in less than 2mins of the 4th quarter in a come from behind win in the Semifinals. However, with the season delayed and cut short it did not benefit my recruiting. I did not adjust to online classes well either and my GPA went down. Because of this I decided to commit to a JUCO in Oroville CA called Butte College. We are currently ranked #8 and have a 7-2 record. I feel like my style of route running and lanky build with long strides makes me different from other wide receivers. I’m humble and always strive to compete with the best so I can get better. Cali JUCOs do not offer scholarships, so outside of school and practice my brother and I work part time. Even with work, practice, classes, lifts and meetings I am maintaining a 3.1 GPA and set to graduate in December of 2023 with an Associates Degree. With the 2023 season coming to a close I am looking to attend a 4 year institution to further my academic and football career at the highest level possible.
