Personal Statement
My name is Justin Robert Jordan. I am a rising senior at Stratford High School located in Goose Creek, South Carolina. I am a student-athlete and an Honors student with a 4.8 GPA. I have over nine years of basketball experience that has helped me improve my athletic ability and competitiveness. During my freshman year in high school, the Stratford’s head football coach (Coach Dennie McDaniel) asked me to try-out for football. He was impressed with my physical awareness and abilities in Physical Education class. Even though I played basketball almost all my life, I fell in love with football and found where I belong. My collegiate goals are to obtain an academic and/or athletic scholarship. My college goals also include earning a degree in the field of engineering and to become a better football player. I believe the following attributes make me a good football candidate. I am highly self-motivated, I work hard on and off the field, and I am a positive role model for my team and fellow classmates. Even though I have two years of football experience, I am willing to do what it takes to become one of the strongest and talented football players. I am very well mannered and coachable and willing to work hard to bring honor to my college and help my team succeed. One of my favorable inspirational sports quotes is from Phil Jackson. He said "The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team." I would like to have the opportunity to give my strength to your team. With your guidance, I hope to become a better football player.
