Sports for me have always been a way to push myself to be the best athlete I can be. Currently as a junior in high school, I am working to define myself both on the field and academically. I’ve been told I am a natural leader amongst my peers and therefore try to lead by example and make an impact as both a player and a student. As a student athlete with a 3.7 GPA, grades are just as important to me as being fit. I consistently dedicate time in the weight room, disciplining myself to set lifting and conditioning goals. I participate in a community leadership program to develop skills and knowledge to facilitate work in a team setting and serve as a catalyst for change. I believe it’s important to be well-rounded and develop the type of work ethic that will lead to success. If given the opportunity, I will become a valuable asset to your program on the field and in the classroom. You will gain a committed member who is ready to work and be part of a family.
