Every athlete has the dream of making it to the big league, but only a select few have the determination not only on the field but inside the classroom to accomplish their goals. As a dual enroll student meaning I take high school and college level classes means I have to work twice as hard as regular students to keep my grades up. Aside from this being also being an athlete time is set aside dedicated to improving my skill level. Through my high school career I was able to keep my gpa over a 3.0 all four years. My hard work and discipline demonstrated in the classroom carried over to the field which led to me being captain of the football team my senior year. Along with being captain I was awarded all region offensive lineman, all area first team offensive lineman, and made it to the Blitz Bowl. As a collegiate athlete I hope to continue playing the sport I love while also receiving my education to become a doctor.
