Deshawn Brown '16 Recruiting Profile

I am Deshawn Brown from west Tennessee. My goal is to play and thrive at the next level in my favorite sport. I am driven and a student of this game. 

Through hard work, I had the opportunity to be a starter on the varsity team since I was a sophomore. I ran for 894 yards averaging 9 yards per carry.  I also achieved special team player of the year for kick off returns as sophomore.  My junior year was even more productive by finishing the season as District Champions.  I finished the  2014 season with 2,406 rushing yards, averaging 9.47 yards per carry and 24 TDs. I also had 9 kick returns for 217 yards. With that I achieved the District 11AA MVP Player of the Year, All West 1st Team offense, and All State.  My senior season was another spin off on hard work. Our team earned Region Champs while I received Region MVP, 1st team All State and All West Tennessee honors. I also ended with close to 2,000 yards and played in the Toyota East vs West All Star game in Cookeville, TN.   

Michael Jordan once said -"I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can't accept not trying."  And that's what I am going to keep doing -TRYING!
