Personal Statement

My name is Colton Chase Dooley and I am currently a Senior at Nolensville High School in Nolensville, TN. I developed a passion for the game of football at the young age of 5. I have been playing the game for 12 years and my love and dedication for the game has grown stronger each year. I love to compete and utilize my leadership strengths to contribute to my football team. My ultimate goal and dream as an individual is to receive a scholarship for academics as well as athletics. I view myself as both a leader on and off the field. I have learned that to win the game it is not about me but about the whole team.  I am very self-motivated and strive for perfection. I classify myself as an athlete rather than a one position player. Throughout the years I have played quarterback, linebacker, as well as h-back/tight-end. I now play running back.  I view myself valuable because I'm very physical runner as shown in my film. Understanding that I have a lot to learn about the game, I have placed myself in teaching environments outside of school to learn from professional athletes who have helped sharpen my football IQ as well as fine tune my mechanics.  I am not an individual who is discouraged by hard work and understand that putting the team's best interests first and utilization of teamwork is essential and necessary in order to be successful.
