Hello my name is Jacari McFarlane. I have recently moved from my old High School in Oelwein,Iowa to Lake County High in Tiptonville,Tenn. It is my senior year and I wasn't prepared for even the slightest recognition of my athletic skills on the football field. My last school didn't prepare me or help any others at all for the chance of playing college football. But that gave me the feeling I wasn't good enough to play at a college level. I'm not sure why this is because, we had many good athletes. Like myself I am a pretty good football player on the Defensive side of the ball. So moving my senior year on a brand new team made me think I would have no chance of getting scouted by a college, because no one knows of me. But that must of changed when the right people heard about my skills as a small Outside Linebacker from Iowa. So the day that I heard I was good enough to possibly play college football changed my life. I knew I was good I just needed the right people to notice. I'm also a little smaller then other so maybe that's why I was overlooked. But the underestimation of me by other mostly my whole life has given my the traits I think make me a great athlete. I always want to prove some one wrong when they say I cant do something. This has given me drive and determination to be the best I can be in life. No matter what others may think, "I CAN". I can do what ever I set my mind to do and will. I always thought college football was just a dream I had and something to watch on TV Saturday afternoons. But then I thought about what everyone thinks I can't do and decided I was going to do it. So when all my hard work pays off,I hope I'm on the rooster for your 2014-2015 college football team. I'm a hardworker and great leader. I do what needs to be done to help my team and make my coaches proud and of course win! I believe I would be a essential asset.
