Jake Fryrear '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jake Fryrear.  I play for the Caldwell Hornets and we just ended our season at Thanksgiving.   We were runner-up in our district, but came home with a Bi-District and Area Championship title.  I consider myself one of the luckiest kids in the world.  I am surrounded with family and friends that whole-heartedly support my life dream and long term goal of playing football at the collegiate level.  From peewee football through 7th/8th grade to starting Varsity as a freshman, sophomore, junior and senior year, I've played every position on the offensive line, plus deep snap.  

Some of my recent football accomplishments include for 2015:

• 4A-DII All-State First Team Offense as Offensive Lineman
• 4A-2 Region III District 11- Lineman Most Valuable Player (MVP)
• 4A-2 Region III District 11- 1st Team All-District Defensive Tackle
• Pre-Season All State OL in Dave Campbell's Texas Football Magazine for 2015

Accomplishments from 2014 include:

• 4A-2 Region III District 11- 1st All-District Team Offense (Guard)
• 4A-2 Region III District 11- 2nd Team Defense (Defensive Tackle)
• All Brazos Valley Football Team- Offense
• Texas Sports Writers All-State Football Team (Guard)

I play basketball, baseball and run track to improve my quickness and make myself a better football player.  I believe hard work and discipline are the key to success.  The late great Paul Bear Bryant once said, "The price you pay for success is high but so are the rewards."  I am 100% committed to paying the price.  My reward.............the opportunity to play college football.
