2020 Highlights
Sophomore Year 20...Since before I could talk, I was holding my arms up above my head to sign touchdown while watching football on the television at home. In kindergarten, I could even name all the quarterbacks in the NFL. That's where my love and obsession of the game began.
As a home school student, I'm self-disciplined, knowing what school work needs to be done and working diligently each day to maintain my honor roll status. While some may see home education as a disadvantage, I recognize I'm able to spend additional time training once my daily studies are completed.
However, as a smaller built athlete, I've had to work even harder to prove I'm capable of holding my own on the field. After talking with my doctor and continuing to work with a personal trainer, I'm steadily gaining weight, while building speed and strength, both physically and mentally.
Playing six-man football has built my character in ways I didn't expect. I am hardworking, decisive, confident yet still coachable, and a true team player. I was awarded the Outstanding Leadership Award my freshman year; I believe that's because I'm optimistic, on and off the field, as I know God has a wonderful plan for my life and I am determined to follow Him in all things.
I look forward to continuing my education after high school as I study sports management in college. I know this will help me positively impact the lives of other athletes.
