Joseph Shanklin '17 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to play for a University and study PreLaw and History. I have played 4 years of Texas 6A-Div I football, as a starter. I secured my position on Varsity, my sophomore year. I understand what commitment, perseverance and sheer determination can create. I know how to push past the pain and be part of a team.  I've been privileged and humbled by 3 consecutive playoff seasons, 2 District (CFISD) Championships, a 6A Div-1 Texas State Championship Game (Finalist) and ended the 2016 season with a 25 district game winning streak. Currently, post-season, we are entering the second round of 6A-Div I Playoff and are fighting for another opportunity at State. The foundation of my character has been strengthened and solidified in a strong Christian home that instilled the love of country, respect for authority and humility. My skills, academics and extracurricular record reflect that I am a well rounded, natural leader-on and off the field and committed to my overall personal growth.  If given the opportunity, I will be your most committed and hardest working lineman.
