I enjoy playing the leadership roll in just about everything I do which is why I think I enjoy playing the quarterback position so much.
Though I am getting stronger and faster every day, I'm not even close to where I know I can be. I'm proud of my development and ongoing understanding of football and the overall schemes of both offense and defense interest me very much. I am also developing academically and completely understand that student does come before athlete. I am capable of doing great. I know that. I am still developing as a player and a person. I know I have much room for improvement, I am also proud of being told by my coaches that I am extremely coachable. I am still growing and learning. I believe one of my best traits as a quarterback is that I have a short memory on the field. Over the years as having my dad coach all of my youth sports he just beat me down with saying "one play at a time". I think since he told me that so much it just stuck in my head and whenever I make a mistake I am able to shrug it off. My teammates and coaches nowadays have come to really appreciate that I am able to do that. In 8th grade I received the Lake Highlands Wildcat Award which is a single award given to one player for leadership and character. During the offseason, I'm in the gym, on the track and compete on the Lake Highlands 7on7 team with players specifically chosen by the school coaches.
