Hello Coaches, my name is Kendall Newsom. I pray that God will bless me to have an opportunity to play NCAA football. I am a God fearing athlete who understands the meaning of determination, hard work and sacrifice. I am an athlete who excels in the classroom, on the football field and track. My Dad is a former collegiate scholarship athlete in football and track and field. He is a member of the NFL Alumni. Dad along with my mom have instilled in me moral character and religious values.
Coaches, I will do whatever it is that you request of me. Constructive criticism is what makes a good man and athlete great. So, I welcome constructive criticism and my dad highly encourages it.
Coaches, I want to become an NCAA football player so bad that I can taste it. My dream is to become an All American Scholar Athlete in college. I pray that I can follow in my Dad's footsteps and become a collegiate scholarship athlete.
My coaches would describe me as a hard worker and a leader who stands out both on and off the field. To sum it up in one word my coaches would describe me as a "Gladiator"! One who fights with honor and dignity until the end.
Coaches, the difference between myself and every other athlete out there is that I'm continually working hard to become better and I will never quit on you. You can always count on me to give you 110% every time, every day and every minute of the hour. In closing I would like to leave you with my favorite scripture Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. God bless and I pray that someone will give me the opportunity to fulfill my dream.
