From the first time I picked up a football, I knew this was it for me. My mom always makes me hold this sign on the first day of school that says what grade I am in and what I want to be when I grow up. My answer has never wavered I want to play football when I grow up. My goal is to receive an engineering degree while I play my heart out for a college that believes in me, playing the sport that has held my heart for so many years.
I feel I am a good candidate because I am not afraid of hard work, I strive to be coachable, I push myself as well as my teammates and lead by example. I am maintaining great grades and taking as many classes as possible towards the career path I have chosen and hope to graduate high school with as many college credits as possible.
While I enjoy playing school basketball and running track is great, it’s football for me. It doesn’t compare to the pulse and the intensity of the game of football. I love the brotherhood I have been able to experience by being a part of some amazing youth teams. I am lucky to have had some amazing coaches in my youth football career and I can’t wait to see what the future holds. I will continue to work hard to earn a chance to play football in college, I pray this is the path God has chosen for me.
