Hayden Brockenbush '19 Recruiting Profile

In high school so far, I started on the Varsity football team my sophomore and junior seasons. I have achieved a good grade point average, while taking some advance placement courses. I was a 1st team all-district and 2nd team all Denton area team selection my junior season and played on offense and defense.  I also finished 2nd in Varsity district Track throwing shotput, qualifying for Area competition. My sophomore year I received honorable mention all-district honors and finished 6th in district in Varsity Track / shotput. A rewarding part of high school for me has been the many friendships I have developed on and off the field, experiencing the comradery of being on a football team, and lessons I have learned along the way. Football has been a great experience for me as it has helped me grow as a leader. Our team narrowly missed the playoffs my sophomore season, but our coaches and team were very focused on getting better and we finished 2^nd place in District and were Bi-District Playoff Champs this past season. I am focused on growing as a scholar, leader and teammate, so I can translate well at the collegiate level in the classroom and on the football field. I plan to continue my Education in college and hopefully my athletic pursuits in football, as a tight end, defensive end, offensive tackle, or wherever team needs me.
