Being a student-athlete is more than just hours of practice and rigorous physical training. It requires a purpose in our actions, a discipline in our habits, and a focus towards our goals all while overcoming obstacles in life. One obstacle I overcame was recovering from a torn meniscus in my left knee. Since my injury, not only have I made a full recovery, I have come back stronger and more explosive than before.
My long-term goal is to get into the NFL as a defensive tackle. What sets me apart as a standout candidate for any team is my determination, unique combination of skills, and work ethic. At 15 years old, I stand at 5'9 and weigh in at 250 lbs, with 50% of my weight being muscle mass.
