I play varsity volleyball at George Ranch High School, a Region 3, District 23, 6A school located in Richmond, Texas, a suburb of Houston. I am a 5'7" S/M/OH/RS that will graduate in 2021. I have played club volleyball since 2014 and am currently on the top team, 16 Elite, at Houston Juniors South. I like to involve all the hitters and utilize the talent of the entire team to win. In the past, when my teams have needed me, I have played MB because of my jumping ability, 26” vertical, 10' Approach Touch. I was a starter, team captain, and played all the way around for three years on a club team and on JV. I was a starting Middle on varsity. I consider myself a leader and know that my attitude on the court directly impacts my teammates. My coaches have depended on me to lead the team on the court. Last year, my club team went to Nationals in Detroit and competed in the USA division. This year my team qualified for Nationals at the very first qualifier of the year, the Sunshine Tournament in Orlando. We finished 2nd and will be in Indianapolis in June.
I am also on the school varsity track team, participating in pole vault, the 800M, the 400M, the 200M, the 4x800M relay, the 4x400M relay, the 4x200M relay, the Short Medley Relay and the Distance Medley Relay. Last year as a Freshman I broke the high school record in the 800M with a time of 2:22:46 and then again with a 2:20:7. I condition during the summer, winter and spring breaks. I also enjoy playing beach volleyball, and played club soccer from 2008-2017, mainly as center forward. I promise I am coachable and will work hard! I am fortunate to have athletic ability, but my drive and determination to be the best when I condition and play any of my sports is what separates me from the rest.
As a member of National Junior Honor Society, I maintained an “A” average and had 4 high school credits before entering my Freshman year. I am interested in attending a college that will allow me to major in either psychology, biology, kinesiology, or exercise science before going to grad school for physical therapy while playing volleyball.
