I have played football since I was 7 years old. I have learned a lot in that time and continue to grow a love for the game. As a sophomore I was a starter on the Varsity team as a line backer. This past year we had to move to a new school and although I may the Varsity team, I was not a starter. There was a senior starting over me. I believe that I grew more as a football player this year more than any of the years combined, because I had to learn a new role. I had to learn how to be a great team player even on the sidelines. Standing on the sidelines made me hungry for it all the more. In the past few years there have been many life altering changes in my life. My stepfather passed away from cancer and my junior year I had to move from the only town I had ever lived in. I have also had to learn how to manage many things this year with going to school full time as well as holding a full time job, where usually I work more than 40 hours in a week. Although I feel that every area of my life has suffered a little this year because of my busy schedule I am very proud of myself for pushing through and doing what was necessary for my family and I. I feel that I would be an asset to your football program because I have a great work ethic and I am a team player all the way. I love motivating others and putting a smile on someone's face. I never back down from work and will do what is needed to improve not only as a player but as a student and a person. I am looking for a school that will challenge me academically as well as physically.
