Through my high school years I have been on A honor roll and the 1st quarter of my class. Also I am very involved in my student council. I have been my class Secretary since freshman year and my student council and I are the Vice President school for the state. Through all of these activities I hope it allows me to reach my goals in bettering myself as an athlete and a member of our society with the new skills that I have learned.
I am a hardworking athlete and know how to manage my time because of all the extra-curricular activities that I am involved in. I went to state in basketball my sophomore year with receiving 1st team all-district and the same year my team and I qualified for state golf as well. This year we fell short in basketball in the regional finals, but I was awarded Offensive Player of the Year for my district. By playing both of these varsity sports, it has allowed me to understand how to be a team player as well as what it truly means to be an athlete and the up and downs that come with that. With that said when my time with basketball is over I am 100% dedicated in golf and know that that will elevate my game ten times what it is when I focus all of my time and energy on it. I feel as though on my tournament scores that I haven't even scratched the level of potential I have moving forward in my game.
My goals for the following time till my senior year is to bring my score under par. I have been under par in most of my nine hole practice rounds and now with working with my swing coach and am getting closer and closer to putting it all together in a full round. By making a few adjustments with club choice, thought process, and course management it will help me make those scores to where I should be. As of now I am in the mid 70s and with how I have been dedicated to the game my under par rounds are right around the corner.
