My name is Trevor Ashmore, and I am a middle linebacker at Klein Oak High School (6A) in Spring, Texas. I am getting ready for my Senior Year on the Panthers' Varsity Team. I have maintained a high GPA while playing football, and it is my goal to play football at the next level for a university that can offer the opportunity of an excellent education along with an outstanding football program.
I have been participating in competitive sports since I was 4 years old. I played soccer, baseball, flag football, and AAYFDT tackle football. Once I started playing tackle football in 4th grade, I knew that it was the sport for me. At Hildebrandt Intermediate, I was an A-Team starter on offense and defense, and I participated in basketball, track, and tennis.
Last year, I started on Varsity and received the MVP Linebacker Award at the end of season banquet. At the end of my sophomore year, I received the MVP Defense Award. I moved up to Varsity during the 2014 state football playoffs. In March, I received the MVP Linebacker Award at the NUC Combine in Huffman, Texas.
I am involved in Spanish Club, and I volunteer at my church and other volunteer organizations like Relay for Life, Northwest Assistance Ministries, and Ducks Unlimited. I am working toward National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and toward graduating in the the Top 10% of my class.
I have been blessed with a supportive family, and I would like to make my Grandfather, who was a high school athletic director and football coach, proud by excelling at our favorite sport.
My favorite motto: "Hard Work Beats Talent When Talent Doesn't Work Hard." I work hard to earn high grades in my advanced classes and am working hard to improve my speed, strength, agility, and leadership skills. I hope to have the right combination of leadership, athleticism, and discipline for a college football program.
