Jacob Rowland '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jacob Rowland. I am a starting Varsity football player for Wills Point High School located in Wills Point, TX. I play right tackle and defensive tackle.

I was awarded accolades for 2013-2014: 14-3A First Team All District Offensive Lineman (unanimous decision), 14-3A All District Academic Team, All East Texas Team OL Honorable Mention, and MVP Boys Track. I had 66 pancake blocks this year, gave up only one sack and had numerous tackles behind the line of scrimmage.

As a sophomore, I was selected as the District 14-3A Second Team All-District Right Tackle and WPHS MVP for Boys Track.

It is important to me to perform at a high level on both the playing field and the classroom. My current GPA is 3.75, I am 20th in my class and I am a National Honor Society member.

As a varsity player on the OL and DL I am an impact player for my team. I have been working hard in the weight room and increasing my flexibility and footwork. I feel the main qualities I can give to a team are my work ethic, leadership on and off the field, my strength and my desire to win. I am looking forward to contributing to a college program and will work to build relationships with you, your staff and team.

I may be from a small school...but I will play BIG!
