Personal Statement
I live in Kanab, Utah and play football, basketball, baseball and a little bit of track for Kanab High. I plan on pursuing playing football at the collegiate level after my high school career.
I work hard at everything I enjoy and set my mind to. I love football with all my heart! Playing at the college level is one of my goals after high school. I have leadership skills in the classroom and on the field.
Being a part of a team is important to me and I greatly enjoy the brotherhood that comes with it. I always look forward to the weight room and practices so that I can see myself and my team get better.
On the field, I don't give in. From the snap of the ball to the final whistle I fight hard and do my job. Dominating my opponent is my goal every play. I always want to be on the field whether it's offense, defense or special teams.
Academics are very important to me. If my grades aren't A's it really bothers me and drives me to do better.
I set high goals and expectations for myself and am always open to criticism that may fuel me to become a better student/athlete.
Interesting Facts: I come from a long family history of college football players, therefore, I know I am capable of carrying on the family legacy. My cousin Terence Brown played guard and center at BYU and was a 4 year starter. He also signed as a free agent with the Miami Dolphins and was the fastest center in the NFL combine that year. My cousin Rhen Brown also played at BYU as a wide receiver. My uncle Brant Brown played defensive end at Utah State. My cousin Brandon Brown played as a safety at Snow College. My cousin Eric Brown played Running Back and Kick Returner at Weber State. My cousin Danny Brown played O-Tackle at Dixie. Family is very important to me and pride myself in not letting them down.
Thank you for taking the time to evaluate me.
Sincerely,
Morgan Barton
