Personal Statement
Being the youngest in a family with three older brothers who were very competitive about everything, I became tougher as well as a better athlete. Having to be tougher I felt more attracted to physicality, which helped in my interest in football. I didn’t have a major interest in football until jr. high. Nobody in my family had played football before, so I didn’t know as much about the sport as some of my teammates. I have learned that there are always ways that I can improve. In even my best games I have found ways I can make my game better.
As I stated before, I did not have a high IQ of the game when I first started. I had to learn a lot about the game on my own, and as I continue to grow I have gotten stronger mentally and physically as well. My goal academically in high school is to keep a GPA of 3.70 or higher. I would like to become an athletic trainer or physical therapist. Being a three-sport athlete, it has helped me become smarter on the field as I am able to take things I’ve learned from each sport and put them together to make me a better player.
