Personal Statement

I am a 6'3" senior playing on the Varsity Team as a wide receiver from Spanish Fork, Utah. Played Varsity for 3 years.  I started on the Spanish Fork freshman team and got awarded the team Co-MVP. Last semester I got a 3.8 grade point average. I want a university where I can pursue my dream of playing Pro Football but also get an education so if I don't get into the Pro's I can have a career and support my family. I am willing to put in all the effort and time to make this dream come true, that is why I train year round with Scott Collie, Ben Cahoon and Dave Stroshine. I want to go into Sports Medicine or Teach History as my career. I want to make a difference on the team and prove I can start because I know I am capable of doing just that. I would love to go to a D1 University.  I am an Eagle Scout and plan to serve a 2 year Latter Day Saint Mission for my Church sometime after I graduate from High School.  I want to attend a College that can provide the classes I need to provide me a good career after Football is over.

  • Joey Anderson 2015: Summer 2012 was ReceiverTech’s first introduction to Joey Anderson as the RT staff recognized a young , great sized 6'3" WR. Tall And lean with great body control in and out of routes for a young athlete. Good hands. Incredible work ethic. Now as a Jr. Joey’s development continues. Physically Stronger , good use of body when catching when defender is contesting catch, soft hands, always working to catch away from body. Needs to work on explosiveness/attacking with more aggression.Defenses are scheming to take him out of game with double and triple coverage still impacting games. Will succeed in a D-1 offense.
