My name is Jake Hammond. I am a senior at Woods Cross High School in Woods Cross, Utah. I play wide receiver and defensive back on the varsity football team and lettered both my sophomore and junior seasons of high school. I am also on the varsity baseball team and have lettered three years in this sport.
I have received many awards in my football career including being named 1st Team wide receiver at the 2014 Mountain West Elite football camp. I was also nominated by my high school coach to participate as a wide receiver/defensive back at the Pylon 7 on 7 tournament in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have won many local and regional passing/wide receiver competitions and I have performed very well at college camps across the West.
I have truly loved playing football since I was 8 years old, and it has been my dream to play college sports. I have worked extremely hard in the weight room and class room. I have spent many hours working on receiver training, route running, passing drills, speed/ agility and strength training. I feel that my hard work has paid off as I have improved my abilities each season. I am looking forward to having the opportunity to take my speed, strength, and play making abilities as well as my hard work ethic and determination to a college where I can obtain a great education and fulfill my dream of playing college football.
