Edward Stawowczyk '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Edward Stawowczyk and I am currently playing linebacker for WT Woodson High School. I would like to play defensive back when I get to college. I was selected a Captain my first two years at the Freshman and JV level because of my vigorous work during the off season, my dedication on and off the field, and by earning the respect of my teammates.I have been a strong team leader this season. With my teammates votes I received the Nick Stuban Team Spirit Award, an award named in honor of one of my teammates who passed away in 2011. It is given to one player on each level who exemplifies the leader and the spirit of the team. Everything I have received I have worked for. What I have lacked in size I have made up for in heart and strong, physical, and fast ability. I will play for anyone who is interested in me. My goal is to play at the highest division level possible. Last season I was our starting nickel back and am now  playing linebacker because of my physical play. I believe that one's faith can be their greatest instrument in all aspects of life including football. After playing college football I am interested in becoming a graduate assistant coach.
