My name is Kareem Jamal, I am 15 years old and I attend Langley High School as a sophomore graduating in the class of 2021. I have been playing football since the age of 7. I started off playing flag football for Reston Youth Association until I was around 13 when I was allowed to play tackle football for Herndon Optimist Youth Football. During my time playing for Herndon, they had me playing Quarterback, Wide Receiver, as well as Punt and Kick return. On the defensive side of the ball, I was playing Safety.
As far as academics, I completed freshman year with a weighted 3.9 GPA taking 2 honors classes. During the off season, I have been visiting the weight room, going to the field with teammates to get some extra practice, as well as attending football camps. As for my obligations to help the community, I volunteered to help teach kids with disabilities learn to swim. I am looking forward to challenges of the upcoming season as well as the opportunities it bring.
