What sets me apart from other student-athletes is my combination of speed, size, and physicality. I am a hybrid OLB/SS at Cosby High School in Richmond, Va. This role requires me to do a variety of different things over the course of the game, many times my responsibility is to set the edge against the run, taking on fullbacks or pulling lineman at the point of attack. However against spread offenses I am required to play the slot man to man or in our nickel package a true man to man corner on the edge. My variety of skills and experience playing different roles in a defense allows me the flexibility to a play a variety of positions at the collegiate level.
Another thing that sets me apart is my success in the classroom. Currently I am ranked 71st in my class of 518 and hold a 4.2 GPA. I scored a 29 on my ACT and a 1280 on my first SAT. I am a member of the Spanish Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, National Honor Society, and Beta Club. It is essential for me that my college selection has not only a succesful football program but also offers a quality education. My preferred major is economics.
In addition to my abilities on the field and in the classroom I have a true passion for the game of football. I am the type of player that will do whatever it takes to help the team and to be successful in the game. Throughout my entire career I have always been the first to volunteer to be on the scout team, whether I was an established starter or a player with something to prove, and enjoy playing special teams. I am a student of the game and enjoy watching and breaking down film.
