My name is Jay Brooks. I am currently a senior attending Frank W. Cox High School. I am 5'10 195 pounds. I play middle linebacker and running back. In the 2011 season I made 89 total tackles, 12 for loss, and 3 sacks. As running/fullback, I rushed 126 times for 654 yards, averaging 5.2 yards per carry for 9 TDs in a triple-option offense. I was selected as Beach\ District First Team Linebacker.
I was fortunate in being selected as Team Captain, giving me the opportunity to lead my team. I truly love the game of football, and it has always been my dream to play in college. My goal is to have an opportunity to play at a good athletic school, but at the end of the day, I believe the education you receive is what ultimately matters.
I have not decided my major, but am interested in Pre-Law or Business. I want to be part of a team, given the opportunity to push myself and my teammates, to be the best. My cumulative GPA is a 3.3 with 4 AP classes taken.
