Joseph Farmer '11 Recruiting Profile

As I enter my senior year in high school, I am looking forward to my third year as a varsity level football player. I am starting at Tight End and Defensive End. I am a motivated 6'6" 230lb senior at Mt Si High School who runs a 4.7 forty. I was thrilled to be invited to the Rivals.com Top 100 invite only combine in 2009, in Los Angeles. I was honored to take the MVP for Tight End. This award led to an invitation to the Top Prospect U100 Camp in Norman, Oklahoma where I was ranked as the number two tight end for the class of 2011 of those athletes present. This was a great opportunity for me to meet and compete with athletes of my own age from all over the country. My goal for this season is to make First Team All League & All Area Teams. I also would like to be invited to play in the Washington East/West football game. I am currently working with a speed and agility trainer to improve my athletic abilities. I hope to play football at a school with a competitive program and a solid academic reputation. My ultimate goal is to earn my degree. I am leaning towards a major in business. My favorite classes at Mt Si High school are Leadership, Chemistry and U.S. History. I have also enjoyed working with the Junior Wildcat Football program, as a "Wildcat Buddy", coaching youth basketball, and acting as a freshmen peer mentor. All of this has helped me to develop my leadership skills and pay back a supportive community. I am also looking forward to participating in ASB in my senior year.
