GOALS AND ASPIRATIONS
My name is Kaeluv Roberson; I am 17 years old and a senior at Foster High School in Tukwila, Washington. I am the starting quarterback and cornerback of the varsity football team. I started playing football and basketball at the age of 6 but really saw my abilities and love for the game of football in high school and committed to this sport. My goal is to become a division 1 athlete and to graduate college with an engineering degree.
WHAT MAKES ME A GOOD CANDIDATE?
What makes me a good candidate for your team? I want to play the game and I want to be great at it. Because I haven’t always been focused nor driven, I had to diligently learn these skills, and now, this is my strength. I am a strong leader, I push myself and others to succeed and I’ve learned how to step up to every challenge. My biggest challenge was to believe in myself. I will be the first in my family to attend college and the first to play football at a college level. I had to believe that this goal was even possible for me to achieve. I knew that I had to become academically strong to rise to the next level so I became focused and worked hard to improve my grades; I met my goals. On the field, I knew my height would be viewed as an obstacle, so I became more focused and driven to prove everyone wrong. I mastered the plays, developed my vision to quickly connect the plays and I threw harder, stronger, and more precise. I ran faster and listened intensely to my coaches and teammates; this makes me a great candidate for your team.
WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT?
What makes me different from any other youth who has grown up watching, playing and loving the game? The difference is the drive and determination to do what it takes to make this dream a reality. I am ready for the next level. I am driven, self-motivated, an independent thinker, a team player and excited about my future opportunities. I bring my whole self to the team and determined to be your best asset.
