Grant Culton '17 Recruiting Profile

I've played sports ever since I could walk. I have always had passion to be involved in sports my whole life. I've meet some of my best friends through sports and want to continue with sports on to the next level. I played basketball from 6th grade to 10th grade and thought that was my sport but I decided to try football because I no longer loved basketball but I still had passion for sports. In order to play football I had to switch schools and because of that I missed the first 4 games of the season due to eligibility reasons. By the time I got to play I was working hard in practice to learn the plays and fit into the system but they already had starters so I played when they needed me and floated from jv to varsity for the whole year. Even though the season didn't go quite like I hoped I enjoyed it so much and I fell in love with the game. In my second year playing I look to be a leader on and off the field and hopefully win a state title. I take 2 honors classes and 1 AP class(college credit) I am dedicated to working hard in the class room because I understand that football will eventually end for me and I need to have an education to make money and support my family. I played center last year because that was how I was going to get the most playing time on varsity but my true position is offensive tackle, thats where I feel at my best and most comfortable. I believe I have a very easy going personality but I hate to lose and will do anything that it takes to be a winner. I think I can fit in and adjust to any school and even though I've only played football for a year I would love nothing more than to play at the next level.
