Personal Statement
I have been a talented athlete since I was very young, but I know it takes hard work and dedication to continue to grow as an athlete. I have played on varsity since my freshman year, one of two freshman athletes to letter. I rushed for over 1,000 yards as a sophomore. I have a tremendous focus to be the best student athlete I can, always striving to be the best version of myself. I am in on every play of the football game. My versatility is an asset. I am the running back, defensive back, punter, and kick returner. Because of my athleticism, I will fit in multiple roles depending upon what college teams need. Our season was pushed back my junior year because of COVID, but that did not stop me from continuing to push myself in the hopes that we would have a season. After finally getting back, I had a season-ending injury while playing my second game of the season. I came back from my injury stronger than before. I rushed for 1529 yards my senior year in just 9 games. I was voted 1st Team All Conference and All Region as a running back and 2nd Team All Conference as an outside linebacker. I took on being an upperclassman very seriously. I wanted to lead by example, so I was visible to the underclassmen, encouraging them and making sure they had a role model. We had a very positive team this year with a lot of unity; our motto was "family." As I look back on my high school career, I am very proud of the way I conducted myself on and off the field. I felt I was a positive leader, good teammate, and a humble athlete always giving it my all. Academically I am looking at business.
