Hi, my name is Jesse DeLorme. I am a student-athlete attending Brodhead High School; hoping to continue football beyond high school. I am 6 foot 1 inch, and weighing 210 pounds. I run a 4.60 40- yard dash, and run an 11.9 100-meter dash. Also, my pro-agility time is a 4.15, and a power ball toss of 41 feet 6 inches. In the weight room my maxes are currently at; 315 pound bench, 405 pound squat, 455 pound dead lift, and 225 pound power-clean.
My first year as a varsity player I earned the honors of; 1st team all- conference both ways (RB & LB), 1st team all-area (LB), 1st team all-area (RB), and earned 2nd team all - state linebacker, and voted MVP by my team. I have been playing football in a club or on a team squad since 6th grade.
I can offer a team a variety of characteristics, but the ones coaches and team mates see in me most is leadership, drive, and devotion to what I do as a person on and off the field. I show my leadership through my play, but I also love to push my team mates to a new level. Using my words is a strong trait I have, and I can always pick my team mates up when they are struggling or just having a bad day. Showing leadership, to me, is more that just on the field, it should be shown in any way. My drive is one of my strong points. It has been a dream of mine to play football beyond high school, and I will do anything I can to reach that goal. I have a lot of things that drive me, but what drives me most is my love for the game. Lastly, I am very devoted to what I do as an athlete and as a student. I am the first one to get to the weight room, and the last one to leave the weight room. I am devoted to myself and also to others, to make them better athletes and people. My best quality I think i have is, I am very coachable. I am always listening and taking in whatever coaches say. I strive everyday to become a better player, and who better to listen to than people that have been playing for so long.
I would love to go to school close to home, but I will go wherever a college would take me. The Midwest would be my first choice for region to go to college, because staying close to home would be great. I would love for the family to come watch, and be able to see my family here and there. Second choice, would be anywhere else around the country, because it would really open up my options.
I am open to any size school, from big too small, and willing to play for any division level. My goal is to get my degree in the health care field, possibly as a personal trainer, physical therapist, chiropractor, or something resembling these careers. Personally, I am open to playing for many different types of schools. I come from a single-parent home, with my mother working two part-time jobs.
My goals as an athlete are to work hard and contribute to any team I play for.
Another goal is to play at the highest level of competition, and make a true impact for the team.
