Competing in the Wisconsin State Championship meet as a freshman compelled me to set high goals for myself and dream big. I realized that I have the physical ability to compete at a high level, and dedicated myself to pushing my limits. In addition, I learned how to handle adversity my sophomore year when an injury forced me to focus on building my strength and the discipline the journey to full-strength requires. That experience gave me perspective, and drive, which helped me to make it to the State Championship meet in Cross Country as a junior.
I am very grateful for the amazing environment I have been fortunate enough to grow up in. I'm a hard working farm girl who has learned dedication and resilience.
My mother competed at the college level, was an All-American Heptathlete, and has been imparting wisdom upon me throughout my journey. Along side my mom I had coaches that taught me valuable lessons on leadership and perseverance. I now use those lessons everyday as a leader of our team. I am always encouraging underclassmen, motivating all my teammates to work hard and push themselves. I am looking forward to running in college, and can't wait to learn new skills and I am excited to be a leader in your program!
