I grew up in New Jersey and started playing lacrosse when I was in elementary school. I was affiliated with the BBL program in New Jersey before my family relocated to Atlanta when I was in the seventh grade. Right before I started high school I was introduced to the McCallie School, a boarding school in Chattanooga, TN. McCallie features a high-academic environment and the lacrosse team has won 8 state titles in the last 20 years (we are hoping to bring home the 9th this year). This year I was named First Team All-State in Tennessee.
In the summer I play for Atlanta's LB3 Thunder team under Coach Liam Banks and also play for Nation United, an elite lacrosse program launched by Chazz Woodson. As a part of the Nation United team I serve as an ambassador for the game to help promote diversity and inclusion in the sport. I take great pride in helping to grow the game of lacrosse in underserved communities, fostering brotherhood and helping to diversify the playing field. I have often been the only African-American player on teams and because of the challenges I've had to overcome I'm committed to working to diversify the game and make sure that everyone feels welcome to play a game I love.
I like to play fast, I have great stick skills and with a wicked split dodge I have been described as very difficult to guard. I am also a positive teammate who likes to encourage other players. I consider myself a fast learner, fierce competitor and a fun player to watch.
Academically, I am a strong math and science student and have been fortunate to extend my education through travels to places like Japan, London, South Africa, Mexico and throughout the Caribbean. When I'm not on the field or in the classroom, I enjoy training local middle school athletes in lacrosse and volunteering as a tutor.
I would like to identify a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the lacrosse field. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible.
