One of the best experiences in my athletic career was playing freshman basketball. That was my first experience being a go-to player. I was team MVP and that gave me the confidence that I could play at a higher level. I was able to build on that success. I continued to develop and became a varsity starter in my sophomore year. It was an adjustment for me to find my role on the team. Over the course of the season, I showed that I belonged. I am proud of the fact that I took four charges against the best player in our playoff game, which secured our win and advancement to the next round.
I was able to build off of my sophomore season. I am now one of the captains, and I have the full trust of my teammates and coaches. What I am most proud of is my adaptability. I play all five positions on the team, although my primary position is guard, I lead the team in blocked shots. I believe that my work ethic, diverse skill set, and potential will make me a great asset to your team.
