Personal Statement
From the time I started playing organized team basketball at 6 years old, I've considered myself a student of the game and a player who is willing to do whatever it takes to help my team win. I have what seems to be an innate desire to continually be better and learn more. For the past year, I've been able to challenge my growth and development by playing with and against other collegiate players who are older and more experienced than I am, and still be considered a key contributor on each team I was a member of. I believe one of the main lessons, in basketball and in life, is that you can always be better and continue striving for perfection. Every time I step on the court, for practice or games, I'm focused on being better, and my character leads me to do the same in the classroom and my home life. My current goal is to maintain at least a 3.5 GPA for the remainder of my time in college and earn a scholarship to a university. I'm excited about taking advantage of the opportunities available through playing basketball and striving to achieve the greatest levels of success possible on this journey I have for myself.
