I have been playing basketball since the 1st grade and it has always played an important role in my life. Being part of a team sport has helped to keep me grounded and focused on my goals in school and in life. I have developed life long friendships through basketball and would do anything for my teammates and coaches. It has taught me the importance of hard work and to never take anything for granted. I am a competitive person and work hard everyday to try and get better. I am thankful to be able to play this game.
