Kelvin Koonce '15 Recruiting Profile

I am a combo guard from Washington, DC. I have been playing AAU basketball since I was 8 years old, and my father put a basketball in my hands for the first time when I was 3 years old.  I am currently playing varsity in a competitive conference with Cardozo Education Campus. This past year I was a starter and have led my team in several tight games in scoring and assist.  I am a quick penetrator and passer who is a floor general with active hands to steal and I can knock down the open shot.  I focus on being an asset to my team. I am looking to play early as a freshman in college so I am pretty open to all schools. My main concern is to gain a great education while pursuing my career in marketing and business.  I listen to my coaches and try my best to do what they ask, because I only want to win. I love the game and study other players all the time. Financial assistance is very important to my family and me because my parents are assisting my older sister with her college finances as well. Although, I would be happy with any school as long as it is fairly close to home and a good fit for my future goals and education.
