My name is Rowan Melrose Hanley Jr. and I'm 14 years old; I was born on the 11th day of September in the year of 2003. I live with my mother, brother, and step-father; I lost my father at the age of ten. I take basketball very serious mostly because of the impact it's made on my life, both mentally and physically. At eleven, I was diagnosed with severe walking pneumonia, which required many procedures, one being a surgical procedure. Stated by doctors, basketball aided in my survival; although my lungs were damaged, playing basketball while I was unaware of what I had kept my lungs at a minimal living stability. Also, at a young age, I was told about my asthma. With that being said, I always push myself because of my love for the sport. Academically, I aim to maintain my high grades, which isn't necessarily easy having honors classes. I'm very physically strong for my age and I also use my strengths for football; at this point in my life, I'd like to look at either basketball or football for college. As a freshman, I've done outstanding in both sports; I recently started playing football as I started high school.
