Personal Statement
Growing up on a farm in a small community I have learned the importance of hard work and responsibility. This prepared me for the roles I have had in my life through varsity team captain, student body officer, seminary council and church callings.
As team captain and quarterback of the football team, I helped lead our school to an 11-1 season and its first state title game in twenty-nine years. I was named the sixth district 2A Player of the Year and top Offensive Player of the Year award in 2017. I won back-to-back state titles in the 110-meter hurdles with an undefeated season and led my team in total points scored. Recently surpassing 1,000 points as a basketball varsity team captain as well as being selected for the Idaho First Team All-State has taught me that not only do I need to do my individual best, but also to rely on my team and coaches.
In school I serve as a student body officer of Student Relations. In this position I have been in charge of organizing and planning assemblies, morning announcements, and service projects. On the seminary council I help plan socials and year end events. I have also served as president in my church callings and volunteered many service hours.
The attributes and skills I have gained through my experiences will be a benefit to your classroom and campus. I would be honored to be a student contributing to your legacy.
