Jacob Ankeny '21 Recruiting Profile

Once my high school playing career is completed, I hope to continue playing basketball at the collegiate level.  I am open to all possibilities as I pursue my dream of playing in college and continuing my academic career.

As a player and as a person I have a lot to offer.   I strive to always work hard, and be the  best version of myself I can be.  I am coach-able as  I continue to learn and grow as a basketball player, and am quick to adapt to in game changes and situations.   I am a good teammate and strive to fulfill my role within the team's philosophy as a team player.  I am athletic, have good hands, and love playing defense, rebounding, and making good passes to my open teammates.   I am an effective scorer close to the basket, and have worked hard to extend my range all the way out to the 3-point line.  

I have a strong desire to succeed as a basketball player and as a person, and inspire others to do the same.  My moral character is  strong with my faith and family as the foundation.  I always strive to do the right thing.   Academically, I excel in the class room, and have been named as one of our conferences top academic players two years in a row.

I am open to all options to continue my education and basketball career at the college level, and know I  will be able to learn, grow,  contribute, and thrive if given the opportunity.
